21st October I have managed to get the interior all back together apart from the seats. I didn't have any problems until I went to fit the cowling over the steering column. I have realised that this should be done before fitting the dashboard in so it looks as though it will need unbolting and lifting up to get the cowling on. Before I do this I have got to try and find some screws to bolt the 2 halves together as mine were missing and it was held together with electrical insulating tape. Another problem I have encountered is that the steering wheel won't go back enough on the column to enable the retaining bolt to be fitted so I must have got something slightly wrong somewhere. I'll have to do a bit of investigating. 28th October My wheel polishing kit I was given for Christmas has been put to use polishing up the wheels. The 4 road wheels were just tarnished so I have polished them with no problems and then painted the centres and the 'T' 's black. They have come up pretty good and look better than the all aluminium they were before. The spare was painted completely silver so I have stripped off the paint together with some original lacquer using paint stripper. This was quite time consuming but well worth it in the end. The most difficult parts to remove the laquer were the 'T' sections. It is in fairly good condition with just a few scuffs round the rim that have filed out OK. I have also polished and painted it and it now looks pretty good too.
