On the 5th February 2006 I went to the Virginia Waters Meet. The weather when I left home was cold but sunny so things were looking good for a big turnout. However I only got about 5 miles from home when I ran into thick fog but luckily by the time I got there, about 10:30am, the fog had gone and the sun was trying to come out. There were already quite a few cars there and they was a steady stream coming in. At about 11:00am the ticket barrier decided to give up the ghost so no one could get in and this, as you can imagine caused a rather large queue. Luckily a car park attendant turned up about 10 mins. later and raised the barrier and took the money by hand. As you can see from the pictures below there was a very big turnout. I had to leave at 12:30pm but there were still a lot of cars arriving.
